Michigan MBEC (Center) is
funded by the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and operated by
the Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC). The purpose
of the Center is to serve the "rapid growth-potential minority businesses" and
minority firms with $500,000 or more in annual revenue within the state of Michigan
through the provision of business assistance, strategic partnerships, and strategic
business consulting.
It is the mission of MMBDC "to provide meaningful access to Corporate Members and
Certified MBEs to enhance procurement opportunities". MMBDC is committed to
creating opportunities for companies, large and small, to meet and work together towards
their mutual success and economic growth in their communities.
The Michigan MBEC has a collaborative mission statement with MMBDC in that its mission
is to achieve entrepreneurial parity for MBEs by actively promoting their ability to grow
and compete in the global economy. The Center is addressing these challenges faced
by MBEs offering services that provide the "keys to entrepreneurial success".
